Jeremy Connick

Jeremy is an Established Chambers and The Lawyer publications ranked Partner at world class international law firm, Clifford Chance. As a Partner of 34 years at the firm, Jeremy has become a leading commercial advisor, working and living across three continents. He is also heavily involved with people development and takes part in a reverse mentoring scheme relating to a Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic employees. 
 

In 2014 Jeremy’s life changed forever when his wife Alison tragically took her own life during a depressive episode after learning she had breast cancer. Jeremy reflects on his own mental wellbeing and how he had to be a role model for his 3 children and bring them up as a single father. Since returning to work Jeremy has become a champion and advocate for mental health awareness in the workplace and now trains other law firms and senior leadership on how to tell their stories and why mental health needs to be a board level conversation. 

Jeremy works closely with management at Clifford Chance on issues of mental well being and was the driving force behind various initiatives including Clifford Chance taking part in the Mind mental health benchmarking. Jeremy believes in the power of story telling as part of a portfolio of methods that can be used to ensure that mental well being is placed at the centre of their value proposition. Jeremy sits on the board of the Beyond Shame, Beyond Stigma Foundation, a charity supporting young people founded by TLC Lion Jonny Benjamin MBE.
